  • Who is a stranger ? I believe you will be quick to answer “someone you don’t know. “

As I go about my daily activities, this thought of who a stranger is hit me hard , I notice a stranger is someone who is not suppose to be in your life . And I wondered how many things and people are presently on our lives that we’re not suppose to be .

In this context , That you don’t know know someone doesn’t necessarily mean the person is a stranger . who knows may he /she have to be in your life . You never can tell.

I pray and hope we will be guided in all we do so we don’t fall in the hands of strangers
    Shalom

  • I still remember my first weeks in China. New city, new language, no idea who to trust. I joined endless WeChat and WhatsApp groups, asked the same questions over and over, and still made mistakes I could have avoided: paying too much, trusting the wrong people, and learning things the hard way.

If I'd had a platform like this back then, a lot of that would've been different.

That's exactly why Hafrik was built. It's one place where Africans in China can find their people, get real answers from those who've been there, and trade and live with confidence. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ

If you're new here, welcome. You don't have to figure it out alone. Ask, share, connect. That's what we're here for. ๐Ÿ’›

  • China’s New Exit-Entry Rules Take Effect September 15, 2026 – What Foreigners Need to Know
China’s State Council has issued new Regulations on Exit and Entry Administration (Order No. 841). They come into force on 15 September 2026.

    Key changes for foreigners:
    • Providing false materials or making false statements on a visa or entry application can now result in a 1–5 year entry ban.

    • Common violations include: fake invitation letters, falsified education/work documents, concealing a previous stay in China, or claiming tourism when the real purpose is business/work.

    • Anyone who issues a false invitation letter or supporting documents can be fined RMB 5,000–10,000 (individuals) or RMB 10,000–50,000 (companies), plus confiscation of illegal profits.
    • Immigration consultants and visa agents in China face stricter registration and heavier penalties (fines, suspension, or licence revocation).

The rules mainly codify existing practices and close loopholes. Ordinary tourists and genuine business travellers following the rules should not be affected.
Stay accurate, avoid fake documents, and apply for the correct visa category.

Sources: Official State Council regulation + reputable English summaries (Straits Times, China Daily, immigration law firms).

  • Sourcing from the Chinese market can be overwhelming, just like when I thought I'd found a product that perfectly suited my business this week. Found a factory, negotiated prices... then remembered to check the quality
Haraka haraka, here's the lesson: Never rush. No matter how great the offer sounds or looks, slow down, inspect the product. I saw an item I wanted that had a tempting price tag but a sampling check showed it wasn't up to par with the desired quality.
So, as we continue to source our products, remember, always demand for samples first. It's better to take that extra step - inspecting, evaluating, and confirming - to avoid future regrets. Never compromise on quality for the sake of price. Keep your business standards high, no matter the lure.

  • Dumela reletswe, this week's story comes with numbers ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ“ˆ - and they're not lottery numbers, hahaha. Ke a leboga morena, I wanted to share some quick money transfers and currency exchange tips that worked for me.

Is this normal? This week, I sent money home for the first time without stressing about it. I went to a local bank and they offered me the best rates - way better than those 'exchange kiosks' that promise quick trade under shady lights! ๐Ÿค” Remember to compare the rates before you exchange, especially when seeing how the rates fluctuate.

Another thing I saw, you can use apps on your phone to send money home - who knew, right? I tried it, and let me tell you, it was a smooth ride. It's like sending a 'outu' but way quicker. ๐Ÿ“ฒ Just make sure your app is secure and trusted, don't fall for any promises of speed if they don't ask for the right ID proofs.

Lastly, fees! They're like hidden little taxes that come out of your money. Be watchful for hidden fees when exchanging currencies, especially in those tempting offers that promise the world but deliver tiny changes. ๐Ÿค‘

Ke a leboga morena, any of you have tips for exchanging and transferring money? Let’s learn from each other and avoid the 'wrong move' in the world of money. #MoneyTalks #ChinaGoesDigital

  • Listen, my brother, felt me? This week wasn’t one for smiles. Been living here in China, you already know the drill with police checks, right? Turns out, they decided to flip my warehouse like it’s a nightclub. ๐Ÿ˜ค Everything – cartons, boxes, labels – got the once over with a fine-tooth comb.

And let me tell you, the police ain’t playing. Some of my brothers been getting burned on illegal practices – they paying the price. I’ve always kept it compliant, even though it’s a tight rope to walk in the import-export hustle. Freight rates are up the wall – trust me, you don’t need any headache on the legal side too.

Remember, knowledge is power. Respect the law, keep your documents immaculate, pay the dues. Being compliant ain’t just being a good person – it’s protecting your wallet. Keep your nose clean and avoid the trouble. Allah knows the pain of dealing with agents and QC. Why add more stress?

  • Navigating Chinese apps can seem daunting, but here's a practical tip specifically for Alipay: ๐Ÿ” use the 'Lucky Money' feature to split bills evenly among friends. Just add up the total amount, divide by the number of people and pay together. Then everyone individually reimburses you through 'Lucky Money'. Hassle-free and avoids the awkward 'when are you paying me back?' conversation.๐Ÿ‘ Swipe the next post for the masterclass on using WeChat Pay, DiDi, and Taobao too! #ChineseApps #PaymentTips
