Creating a Hafrik account is quick and free. Follow these steps:

1. Go to hafrik.com or download the app
2. Tap Sign Up and enter your name, email, and password
3. Verify your email address
4. Complete your profile — add a photo, bio, and location
5. Start exploring communities near you!

You can also sign up with your phone number if you prefer SMS verification.

To edit your Hafrik profile:

1. Tap your avatar in the top right corner
2. Select Edit Profile
3. Update your photo, cover image, bio, and social links
4. Tap Save when done

Your profile is visible to other users in your communities. Keep it updated to make meaningful connections.

Hafrik's People Nearby feature helps you discover fellow expats in your city or campus.

1. Open the Discover tab
2. Tap People Nearby
3. Allow location access (or set your city manually)
4. Browse and send connection requests

You can also filter by country of origin, university, or interests.

Communities are at the heart of Hafrik. Here's how to join one:

1. Tap the Communities tab
2. Browse featured communities or search by city, topic, or university
3. Tap a community to preview it
4. Hit Join — some communities require approval

Once you join, you'll see posts from that community in your feed and get notified of new activity.

Anyone can create a community on Hafrik:

1. Go to Communities → tap Create
2. Choose a name, description, and category
3. Set privacy: Public (anyone can join) or Private (invite only)
4. Upload a cover photo
5. Invite your first members

As a community admin, you can post announcements, moderate content, and manage members.

Stories disappear after 24 hours — perfect for daily updates:

1. Tap the + button next to your avatar in the story bar
2. Choose Text (with custom background) or Photo
3. Add a caption or decoration
4. Tap Share Story

You can see who viewed your story by tapping the eye icon. Stories are visible to your followers and community members.

Selling on Hafrik Marketplace is free and easy:

1. Go to Marketplace → tap Sell Something
2. Add photos (up to 10), title, description, and price
3. Set your location and contact preference
4. Choose condition: New or Used
5. Tap Post Listing

Buyers can message you directly through the platform. You'll get a notification for each inquiry.

Browse thousands of listings from African expats across China:

1. Open Marketplace
2. Search by keyword, location, or category
3. Tap a listing to see all photos and details
4. Tap Message Seller to inquire
5. Agree on payment and pickup/delivery method

Always meet in safe, public locations for physical transactions.

Organizing an event on Hafrik is simple:

1. Go to Events → tap Create Event
2. Add a title, description, date, time, and location
3. Upload a cover photo
4. Set visibility: Public, Private, or Community only
5. Set ticket price (free or paid)
6. Publish and share!

Attendees can RSVP, invite friends, and post in the event feed.

Hafrik's job board connects African expats with employers in China and beyond:

1. Go to Jobs from the main menu
2. Filter by city, industry, or job type
3. Tap a listing to read the full description
4. Click Apply or contact the poster directly

You can also set up job alerts to be notified when matching positions are posted.

Post a job and reach thousands of qualified candidates:

1. Go to Jobs → tap Post a Job
2. Fill in the job title, description, requirements, and salary range
3. Set the location (city or remote)
4. Add your contact or application instructions
5. Submit — your post goes live immediately

Reels let you share short videos with the entire Hafrik community:

1. Tap Create → select Reel
2. Record directly or upload from your gallery
3. Trim, add music, and write a caption
4. Choose your audience (Public / Friends / Community)
5. Tap Publish

Reels with high engagement may be featured on the Discover page, reaching thousands of users.

Hafrik offers multiple ways to earn:

• Business Page — Sell products, offer services, run promotions
• Paid Events — Charge ticket fees for your events
• Marketplace — Sell physical or digital goods
• Referrals — Invite friends and earn platform credits
• Creator Program — Coming soon for top content creators

To get started, create a Business Page from your profile settings.

To change your password:

1. Go to Settings → Security
2. Tap Change Password
3. Enter your current password, then your new password twice
4. Tap Save

Use a strong password with at least 8 characters, including numbers and symbols. Never share your password with anyone.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before you delete:

• Download your data from Settings → Privacy → Download My Data
• Inform your community members

To delete: Settings → Account → Delete Account → confirm with your password.

Your account will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Hafrik is free for all users. Core features including communities, posts, marketplace browsing, and job listings are completely free.

Optional premium tools for creators and businesses may be introduced in the future, but the community experience will always remain free.

Hafrik is available globally and accessible from any country. Our primary focus is connecting African expatriates living and working in China, but we welcome all members of the African diaspora worldwide.

The app and website work in any country with internet access.

Yes! All core features — communities, posts, marketplace, jobs, and events — are completely free. Optional premium tools may come later for creators and businesses.

Use the People Nearby feature or search Communities by your country name. You can also filter your discovery feed by nationality.

Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) on any post or profile, then select "Report". Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours.

Yes! Hafrik is fully accessible in China without a VPN. We're optimized for Chinese networks and CDN infrastructure.

Verification is available for public figures, businesses, and community leaders. Apply through Settings → Account → Request Verification with your supporting documents.
