I went to the visa application center to help a friend who's been trying to get a new visa, and let me tell you, the place is buzzing like a beehive! So many people, so many papers and photos, and the line was longer than the queue at the chop bar on a Friday night 😅. One guy, Ahmed was his name, shared his story as he kiddingly ranted about how he had to reapply for his visa - again. They tell you one thing in the consulate when you're applying, and another when you show up with the exact same documents. Humbled him enough to treat us all to a round of drinks later on 🥂. On the bright side, it seems there's a fresh batch of ease-ups in immigration news for some types of visas. Heard whispers of quicker processing times – which is music to our ears, medaase! Just remember, in China, a day in immigration news can change your plans faster than you can say 'Ataaloe!'. Keep your documents tight, and check those new rules before your visa interview date, or you'll find yourself at the chop bar more frequent than you would like.
