• Being a Software Engineer while pursuing a degree in CST and AI in China is more than just a marathon of coding it’s a lesson in scale and speed. In this ecosystem, you learn quickly that code is only as powerful as the problem it solves.
My three core takeaways from this journey so far:
    • Technical Rigor: Engineering is the foundation. Without clean architecture, AI is just noise.
    • The AI Leverage: AI isn't just a subject; it’s the tool that allows a single developer to build with the impact of an entire department.
    • The Founder’s Lens: As an entrepreneur, I’ve stopped asking "How do I build this?" and started asking "How does this create value?"
I’m excited to keep pushing the boundaries where local innovation meets global tech. To my fellow builders: stay curious and keep shipping.

  • What we’re building with Hafrik is not just another social media platform.

It’s a living network for Africans everywhere.

Students landing in a new country trying to figure things out.
Entrepreneurs searching for suppliers and real opportunities.
Travelers who want trusted information from people who actually live there.
Communities that need faster updates than rumors and WhatsApp broadcasts.

Hafrik is where connection turns into opportunity.

A place where Africans across China, Europe, the US, and beyond can share knowledge, move information quickly, trade, collaborate, and grow together.

We’re not just building an app.
We’re building infrastructure for the African global community.

And this is only the beginning.

  • What is it really like studying in China as an African student?

We spoke with students from Nigeria and Tanzania about their real experiences living and studying in China.

From language barriers and culture shock to racial discrimination, freezing winters in Shenyang, and the opportunities that made them come here in the first place.

Their stories are honest, real, and powerful.

  • International students in China often have unique experiences.

What is one thing you wish you had known before starting your studies here?

Your advice could help new students prepare better for life and academics in China.

  • Try out this hidden or not so hidden gem in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province it’s definitely one way to enjoy Shenzhen nights

It’s called Woo Shisha Lounge and I’ve been there a couple of times now & just to say ; this isn’t me encouraging anyone to smoke, just sharing my experience.

They honestly have some of the best shisha I’ve tried. So many flavors and you can adjust the strength to your preference. My personal fave? Earl Grey Smooth, slightly sweet, and different.

Another thing was the cocktails because that’s what really impressed me. You know how some places are hit or miss with drinks? These were actually well made and balanced every time.

If you’re in Shenzhen or visiting and want a chill spot to wind down after a long day, the vibe here is relaxed and easy.
