So last Sunday my friend and I saw this massive European-style castle-church thing from the road in Ganzhou and we were like “Yo, they built a cathedral here and nobody told us?!” Looked exactly like those old churches you see in movies: tall spires, stained-glass-looking windows, the whole vibe. We even crossed ourselves out of respect before walking in 😂 We push open the giant doors expecting incense and hymns… instead the lady at the front desk in a suit goes “欢迎光临” (welcome) and hands us a room-rate card. Turns out the whole “church” is actually a luxury themed hotel called FUHOME. The altar area? Reception. The “chapel”? Lobby with chandeliers. The confession booths? Probably some VIP suites now 😂 We stood there for a solid 30 seconds with our mouths open, then started laughing so loud security thought we were drunk.
