Today we're continuing our journey exploring rooftops and terraces in Beijing, and after looking at ones around Sanlitunthe hutongs, and the Liangma River, we're now turning our attention to the CBD.

Xun Terrace

The newest place on this list, Xun Terrace only opened up earlier this year. Hidden away on the 25th floor of an office building near the Kerry Centre, here you can take in great views of some of the capital's most famous skyscrapers. The terrace is relatively big, with a chic, blue color scheme and plenty of flowers adding an injection of nature to the space. Foodwise, they've got a range of Western dishes, with things like pasta, pizza, meaty mains and more. For drinks, they've got a few beers on tap, bottled beers, wine, cocktails, coffee and soft drinks available.

Migas Mercado

Located in the heart of Guomao, it’s hard to get better views than those at Migas Mercado, with its terrace overlooking the CCTV Tower, aka Big Pants (大裤衩 dà kùchǎ), and Beijing’s tallest building, the China Zun. Fluorescent orange and pink chairs give the space a vibrant atmosphere, with the color scheme looking particularly impressive at night against the wall of funky red lanterns. Offering top-quality Spanish cuisine, they do some great weekday lunch deals, and their weekend tapas brunch is not to be missed. They also have an extensive drinks menu and host regular DJ nights on the weekends.

Blue Frog

Just a floor down from Migas Mercado is Blue Frog's China World branch, and as you'd expect, the terrace boasts the same beautiful views as the former. The space keeps things simple with its decor, and a few plants dotted around add a nice touch of greenery. You can get Blue Frog's usual array of Western fare, including five new burgers that were recently added to the menu. They also do a great daily happy hour deal from 4pm to 8pm, where selected cocktails, beers, wines and other drinks can be enjoyed “buy one, get one free.”

Beersmith

Also located right in the heart of Guomao, Beersmith's terrace is a pleasant place to spend an afternoon or evening sipping on their fresh brews. Decorated with hanging baskets bursting with flowers, a wall of greenery, and fairy lights come evening, the location definitely has some garden vibes. They’re always adding new seasonal beers to their arsenal, and they have also recently released a new summer menu.

CLUB ME

Lastly, CLUB ME is located on the sixth floor of the Yintai Center and has not only a terrace but also a pool! The pool has plenty of different seating options (consumption charges apply), an outdoor bar and lots of beach-themed decor to make you feel like you're somewhere more exotic than the center of Beijing. You can get a range of food, drinks, snacks and more, and CLUB ME hosts regular pool party events, with TRUST normally hosting one every Saturday during summer.
