New in China? Don't let a scam be your welcome gift 🚨
Many of us learned these the hard way. Here's what to watch for:
1️⃣ "Agents" who want a big deposit before you've seen the house. View it in person, and only pay against a signed contract.
2️⃣ Suppliers whose prices are far below everyone else's. Visit the shop or factory, or use a trusted agent, before you pay.
3️⃣ Anyone offering a "special visa" or work permit shortcut. Only trust official channels.
4️⃣ Strangers asking you to receive money or parcels for them. Say no.
5️⃣ Fake currency exchange deals on WeChat. Use banks or trusted platforms.
6️⃣ Pressure to "pay now or lose the deal." Real deals can wait a day.
When in doubt, ask people who live here. On Hafrik you can check a business or ask your city Space before you send a single yuan.
Stay safe, and share this with someone new 🙏

Who is a stranger ? I believe you will be quick to answer “someone you don’t know. “
As I go about my daily activities, this thought of who a stranger is hit me hard , I notice a stranger is someone who is not suppose to be in your life . And I wondered how many things and people are presently on our lives that we’re not suppose to be .
In this context , That you don’t know know someone doesn’t necessarily mean the person is a stranger . who knows may he /she have to be in your life . You never can tell.
I pray and hope we will be guided in all we do so we don’t fall in the hands of strangers
Shalom

I still remember my first weeks in China. New city, new language, no idea who to trust. I joined endless WeChat and WhatsApp groups, asked the same questions over and over, and still made mistakes I could have avoided: paying too much, trusting the wrong people, and learning things the hard way.
If I'd had a platform like this back then, a lot of that would've been different.
That's exactly why Hafrik was built. It's one place where Africans in China can find their people, get real answers from those who've been there, and trade and live with confidence. 🌍🇨🇳
If you're new here, welcome. You don't have to figure it out alone. Ask, share, connect. That's what we're here for. 💛

I am Onyekachim Frank Eyiuche, popularly known as Kachi, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bellence Technologies Inc. My journey with Bellence represents more than entrepreneurship. It reflects my passion for engineering, my curiosity about how technology works, and my determination to build something meaningful that can grow beyond me.
I have always been interested in understanding things from the inside out. Whether it involves writing code, studying blockchain infrastructure, exploring cybersecurity, developing business concepts, or working on technical production systems, I am driven by the desire to understand problems deeply and find ways to solve them. I do not want to limit myself to one industry when there are opportunities to connect different fields through technology and innovation.
That mindset shapes my role at Bellence. I am responsible for the broader vision, strategic direction, and business development of the company. I work across ideas, technology, research, operations, and venture development, looking at how individual projects can become sustainable businesses within a larger ecosystem. For me, leadership is not simply about holding a title. It is about taking responsibility for the vision, making difficult decisions, identifying opportunities, and continuing to build even when the results are not immediately visible.
Bellence Technologies Inc. has roots dating back to 2017, with formal incorporation in 2025. What began as an entrepreneurial vision has developed into a broader ambition to build a multi-industry technology group operating across software engineering, fintech, blockchain, event production, electrical and technical engineering, and other areas where innovation can create practical value.
Through Bellence, I am also developing an ecosystem of ventures, including Arvotix Productions, our gaming production subsidiary. Every venture represents an opportunity to explore a different market, develop specialised solutions, and create value while contributing to the wider direction of the group.
My approach is hands-on, analytical, and forward-looking. I enjoy working behind the scenes, studying systems, refining ideas, researching opportunities, and thinking about how things can be built better. I understand that meaningful progress takes time, and I believe the strongest businesses are built through a combination of technical knowledge, discipline, sound strategy, collaboration, and consistent execution.
My ambition for Bellence is to build a company that does not depend on a single idea, industry, or market. I want to develop a strong foundation from Nigeria, build valuable ventures, create opportunities for talented people, and expand into international markets as our capabilities grow.
Ultimately, my position at Bellence is deeply connected to what I am trying to build. I am not simply interested in starting a company; I am interested in developing an enduring technology group, establishing systems that can operate and grow sustainably, and turning ideas into businesses that create measurable value.

Last year I remember wearing a thick sweater when boarding off the plane in Guangzhou, thinking it's gonna be cold in china at that time, but it was so hot. This same time last year was quite hot, but now I'm already dreading the winter ❄️🥶 coming up this year's December and thereafter because why in heavens is it so cold already? By this time last year I was sweating my brows out 😭Last year I remember wearing a thick sweater when boarding off the plane in Guangzhou, thinking it's gonna be cold in china at that time, but it was so hot. Excellence and Success
Excellence is giving your best in everything you do, even when no one is watching. Success is not achieved overnight; it comes through consistency, discipline, learning, and perseverance.
When you make excellence a habit, success becomes a natural result of your efforts. Keep learning, keep improving, and never give up on yourself.Excellence and Success Excellence is giving your best in everything you do, even when no one is watching. CNBC caught up with Aleese Lightyear, an American who swapped NYC rent stress for Chengdu and now lives on about $30K a year. $278/month for her downtown apartment, student loans paid off, and she's still banking up to $1,000 a month toward a future Mexico beach house. If you've ever wondered why so many foreigners land in China and just... stay, her budget breakdown makes it obvious. Worth watching for the real numbers, not just vibes.

China’s New Exit-Entry Rules Take Effect September 15, 2026 – What Foreigners Need to Know
China’s State Council has issued new Regulations on Exit and Entry Administration (Order No. 841). They come into force on 15 September 2026.
Key changes for foreigners:
• Providing false materials or making false statements on a visa or entry application can now result in a 1–5 year entry ban.
• Common violations include: fake invitation letters, falsified education/work documents, concealing a previous stay in China, or claiming tourism when the real purpose is business/work.
• Anyone who issues a false invitation letter or supporting documents can be fined RMB 5,000–10,000 (individuals) or RMB 10,000–50,000 (companies), plus confiscation of illegal profits.
• Immigration consultants and visa agents in China face stricter registration and heavier penalties (fines, suspension, or licence revocation).
The rules mainly codify existing practices and close loopholes. Ordinary tourists and genuine business travellers following the rules should not be affected.
Stay accurate, avoid fake documents, and apply for the correct visa category.
