One thing I’ve come to realise about working with people is that everybody sees their own effort more than they see what others are contributing.
The driver thinks he’s doing everything because he’s been driving all day. The tyre thinks it’s doing everything because it’s the one touching the rough road. Meanwhile, nobody is acknowledging the engine keeping things moving.
That’s exactly how partnerships and teamwork fall apart.
You don’t have to do everything. Find your strength, understand your role, respect what others bring to the table, and do your part well.
You don’t have to be the whole car for the car to move.
