• Where Do You Go to Unwind in Your City?
Life in China can move so fast — new faces, new food, new routines.
But everyone needs that one spot where they can slow down, recharge, and just breathe.

For some, it’s a quiet café with jazz music and milk tea.
For others, it’s a night walk along the Pearl River, a small African restaurant, or even a WeChat group full of familiar names.

Where’s your go-to place to unwind in your city?
Drop the name or short description below — let’s build a community list of the best chill spots across Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, and beyond.

Whether it’s a park, a rooftop, or a late-night market, someone in your city might just need that same space too.

  • China’s night markets are where the city really comes alive, skewers sizzling, neon lights glowing, and endless street snacks to try.

If you had just ¥50 to spend at a night market, what would you buy first?

  • I recently moved to Songjiang, and yesterday I found a night market. They had everything from meat to fruits to desserts. There were also so many restaurants along the sides.

Don’t come here if you have already eaten because you will want to eat everything

: Right outside of Sijing Metro Station, Exit 3.
: You can go there around 6 pm.
