Yo, made new friends, it was quite easy making new connections, not just people to talk to, but people with various possible opportunities to offer. With this 3 things you could connect quickly when you meet new people, remember in china, and basically anywhere in the world, to be ahead you need people who know more than you do in such a field or pursuit. 1 - when you say hi/hello ( basically greetings) remember to comment on something they're wearing or something you could highlight about them. eg " hi, good day, I love this blazers though, looking real good" then your name and blah blah blah you go on 2 - make sure you have quality questions planned always, (create a frame work) many people don't have any sort of frame work, they say " just go with the flow" as much as this sounds doable, make sure you have a framework, eg firstly ask where they're from, second, their name, then repeat Thier name twice and up to 4 times in the conversation ( very important). And lastly but not the least 3 - ask about what they do, and listen like your life depends on it, then you can ask if you could take a picture, (after the whole discussion though) then ask for their WeChat/WhatsApp so you could send it to them, remember you are trying to build a connection, so enjoy the whole thing👋, Give us some of your guidelines on how to reach out to some new.

One thing I learnt that shook me way too vigorously within is this... "If your life was a movie, and you were watching yourself now, would you be glad about what you're doing, and what would you be doing differently?" I really want to do it, I really want to start having these conversations, but honestly, I don’t have the perfect direction yet. So I decided to start with myself. 2025: Lessons, Growth, and Moving Forward As I look back on 2025, one theme stands out for me: growth through movement. This year, I made the decision to leave my city and step into a new environment. It wasn’t comfortable, but it pushed me to think bigger, build smarter, and challenge myself in new ways. Leading and developing Hafrik as an ecosystem, while growing HafrikPlay , #HafrikTV and other projects, demanded resilience, clarity, and discipline. Entrepreneurship isn’t just about ideas. It’s about adapting, making tough calls, and staying focused when things are uncertain. One important lesson stood out: 👉 Don’t force people into a vision they don’t believe in. Create movement. The right people align themselves. Not every decision paid off. Some sacrifices didn’t return what I expected. Some seasons required slowing down and restructuring. But there were meaningful wins: clearer systems, better direction, stronger confidence in where we’re going. Someone asked me recently: “What do you do for fun?” That question made me rethink balance and sustainability. Building matters. Living intentionally matters too. I also want to say thank you. To my co-founders and teammates at HafrikPlay: Omobosola Alaka ,Abolaji Alaka Destiny Ezenwata thank you for your dedication and belief in the vision. And to everyone who has contributed in any way across the Hafrik ecosystem, your support, ideas, and effort truly matter. As I step into 2026, I’m carrying clarity, discipline, and determination. And I’m focusing on what aligns, what builds, and what truly matters. Grateful for the journey. Grateful for the lessons. And thankful to God for seeing me through. On to 2026.

I was on a wechat group today and i saw a voice message of someone saying that Guangzhou has stopped doing extensions for Africans there, meanwhile i was planning to extend my visa there next month someone should please advice me on what to do next i dont want to be hooked or get overstay.

I recently went to my friend’s school cultural day . I got the chance to taste both Ghanaian Jollof and Nigerian Jollof and I will say they are both really good . Now I know the Jollof war between the 2 countries and I have t stand with Ghana , after all we are neighbors 😂😂 but both are really good !

A wise man's saying! Fish → lives in water, vulnerable to crocodiles. Crocodile → powerful predator, feared in the water. If the fish itself comes out of its safe space (water) to warn you the crocodile is sick → that means the threat is genuinely weakened, and you should believe it. The meaning: It’s about trusting information that comes from an unlikely or risky source. If someone who normally wouldn’t speak (or has the most to lose) comes forward with a warning, it probably holds truth.

Before I came to China, I thought adapting would be impossible. But after a week, I realized: if you can order food, ride the metro, and say “谢谢” (thank you), you’re already halfway there.
