Heading to the Canton Fair this October? Join fellow African entrepreneurs, importers, and first-time buyers for an evening of practical, no-nonsense advice on surviving Guangzhou's trade fair season. This meetup brings together experienced traders, freight forwarders, and long-term Guangzhou residents to share real-world strategies for sourcing reliable suppliers, negotiating sample costs and MOQs, and spotting the red flags of common scams (fake trading companies, bait-and-switch quality, deposit fraud, and more). We'll break into small discussion groups by product category (electronics, textiles, home goods, machinery) for targeted Q&A, followed by open networking over drinks and light snacks. Bring your business cards, your questions, and any supplier contracts you'd like a second pair of eyes on. Whether this is your first Canton Fair or your fifteenth, you'll leave with a clearer game plan and a stronger network of contacts who've been where you are. Hosted in English and French, with Mandarin-speaking volunteers on hand to help with translation questions.
