Welcome back! In this part of our series, we’ll cover Classes 5 to 10, focusing on practical topics like shopping, transport, weather, time, family, and hobbies.

Class 5: Shopping and Money

• 这个多少钱？ (Zhè ge duōshǎo qián?) – How much is this?
• 太贵了 (tài guì le) – Too expensive
• 便宜一点 (piányi yīdiǎn) – Cheaper, please
• 我买这个 (wǒ mǎi zhè ge) – I’ll buy this

💴 Money words: 元 (yuán) / 块 (kuài) / 毛 (máo)

Class 6: Transport and Directions

• 去… (qù…) – Go to…
• 请到这里 (qǐng dào zhèlǐ) – Please go here
• 多少钱到火车站？ (duōshǎo qián dào huǒchēzhàn?) – How much to the train station?
• 怎么走？ (zěnme zǒu?) – How do I get there?
• 在左边 / 右边 (zài zuǒbiān / yòubiān) – On the left / right

Class 7: Weather and Seasons

• 天气 (tiānqì) – Weather
• 冷 (lěng) – Cold
• 热 (rè) – Hot
• 下雨 (xià yǔ) – Raining
• 下雪 (xià xuě) – Snowing

今天天气很好。 (Jīntiān tiānqì hěn hǎo.) – Today’s weather is very good.

明天会下雨。 (Míngtiān huì xià yǔ.) – It will rain tomorrow.

Class 8: Time and Dates

• 几点？ (jǐ diǎn?) – What time?
• 现在三点 (xiànzài sān diǎn) – It’s 3 o’clock
• 半 (bàn) – Half (三点半 = 3:30)
• 今天 (jīntiān) – Today
• 明天 (míngtiān) – Tomorrow
• 昨天 (zuótiān) – Yesterday
• 2025年10月3日 (èr líng èr wǔ nián shí yuè sān rì) – Oct 3, 2025

Class 9: Talking About Family

• 爸爸 (bàba) – Father
• 妈妈 (māma) – Mother
• 哥哥 (gēge) – Older brother
• 妹妹 (mèimei) – Younger sister
• 孩子 (háizi) – Child

我有一个姐姐。 (Wǒ yǒu yí gè jiějie.) – I have one older sister.

他们是我的父母。 (Tāmen shì wǒ de fùmǔ.) – They are my parents.

Class 10: Hobbies and Free Time

• 看书 (kàn shū) – Reading
• 听音乐 (tīng yīnyuè) – Listening to music
• 打篮球 (dǎ lánqiú) – Playing basketball
• 看电影 (kàn diànyǐng) – Watching movies
• 旅行 (lǚxíng) – Traveling

我喜欢看电影。 (Wǒ xǐhuān kàn diànyǐng.) – I like watching movies.

你有什么爱好？ (Nǐ yǒu shénme àihào?) – What hobbies do you have?
