Talking About Daily Activities
Welcome to Class 4 of our Chinese learning series! In this lesson, we’ll focus on how to talk about daily activities in Chinese. These are useful phrases you can use right away in everyday life.
š Morning Activities
- čµ·åŗ (qĒ chuáng) – Wake up / Get up
- å·ē (shuÄ yá) – Brush teeth
- ę“čø (xĒ liĒn) – Wash face
- åę©é„ (chÄ« zĒo fàn) – Eat breakfast
š¢ Daytime Activities
- äøē (shàng bÄn) – Go to work
- äøčƾ (shàng kè) – Attend class
- å¦ä¹ (xué xí) – Study
- ååé„ (chÄ« wĒ fàn) – Eat lunch
š Evening Activities
- äøē (xià bÄn) – Finish work
- åå®¶ (huí jiÄ) – Go home
- ēēµč§ (kàn diàn shì) – Watch TV
- ē”č§ (shuì jiào) – Sleep

Here are some easy examples you can use:
- ęäøē¹čµ·åŗć (WĒ qÄ« diĒn qĒchuáng.) – I get up at 7 o’clock.
- ä»å «ē¹äøēć (TÄ bÄ diĒn shàng bÄn.) – He goes to work at 8 o’clock.
- ę们ęäøåē¹ē”č§ć (WĒmen wĒnshàng shí diĒn shuì jiào.) – We sleep at 10 p.m.

Try keeping a daily diary in Chinese. Write simple sentences about what time you wake up, eat, study, and sleep. Even a few lines each day will improve your vocabulary quickly.
