Talking About Daily Activities
Welcome to Class 4 of our Chinese learning series! In this lesson, we’ll focus on how to talk about daily activities in Chinese. These are useful phrases you can use right away in everyday life.
🕘 Morning Activities
- 起床 (qǐ chuáng) – Wake up / Get up
- 刷牙 (shuā yá) – Brush teeth
- 洗脸 (xǐ liǎn) – Wash face
- 吃早饭 (chī zǎo fàn) – Eat breakfast
🏢 Daytime Activities
- 上班 (shàng bān) – Go to work
- 上课 (shàng kè) – Attend class
- 学习 (xué xí) – Study
- 吃午饭 (chī wǔ fàn) – Eat lunch
🌙 Evening Activities
- 下班 (xià bān) – Finish work
- 回家 (huí jiā) – Go home
- 看电视 (kàn diàn shì) – Watch TV
- 睡觉 (shuì jiào) – Sleep
🗣 Sample Sentences
Here are some easy examples you can use:
- 我七点起床。 (Wǒ qī diǎn qǐchuáng.) – I get up at 7 o’clock.
- 他八点上班。 (Tā bā diǎn shàng bān.) – He goes to work at 8 o’clock.
- 我们晚上十点睡觉。 (Wǒmen wǎnshàng shí diǎn shuì jiào.) – We sleep at 10 p.m.
💡 Practice Tip
Try keeping a daily diary in Chinese. Write simple sentences about what time you wake up, eat, study, and sleep. Even a few lines each day will improve your vocabulary quickly.
