Lost Your Passport in China? Follow These Essential Steps!

持派出所出具的护照遗失证明，向出入境管理局报告护照丢失，填写外国人出入境证件遗失报告表，并凭《护照遗失报告证明书》在中国大使馆或领事馆申请新护照。

3: After obtaining the passport loss report certificate, the applicant shall immediately apply for a new passport from the embassy or consulate of his/her country in China, and complete the corresponding residence/stay procedures at the exit/entry administration department of the public security organ within 30 days from the date of issuance of the passport loss report certificate.

在获得护照遗失报告证明后，申请人应立即向其在中国的国家的大使馆或领事馆申请新护照，并在获得护照遗失报告证明之日起30天内，到公安机关出入境管理部门完成相应的居留/停留手续。

4.Go to the guest hotel or police station of residence for a new accommodation registration (change to a new passport number)

5.According to the specific reasons, with reference to the relevant notification sheet to prepare application materials for residence/stay documents

5.根据具体原因，参照相关通知单准备居留/停留证件的申请材料

If you do not report the loss of your passport to the Exit and Entry Administration Bureau after your passport is lost or stolen, but directly apply for a passport to the embassy or consulate of your country in China, you will also need to provide a letter issued by the embassy or consulate of your country in China when reapplying for a visa.

如果您在护照丢失或被盗后不向出入境管理局报告护照丢失，而直接向您在中国的国家的大使馆或领事馆申请护照，您在重新申请签证时还需要提供由中国的国家的大使馆或领事馆出具的信函。
